Re-Imagining The Power District (Team)
With the plateau of time, the needs of the city and its people changes. Amidst the surrounding dense nature; Sits an IT-based industrial park; With housing typologies ranging from low-to-high; The special space allows for communities to be formed.
Despite its seemingly isolated nature of the site, the power district is located centrally across a wide range of amenities around the area. With the decommissioning of the power district, there is a need for the injection of new life into the site. Similar to its historical function, the design seeks to transform the district into both a junction for the connectivity across the area and a pause along the daily life of the people. Thus, a wellness hub is proposed as a point of congregation for the masses as they take a break from their mundane routines and subsequently dispersed off. With the idea of energizing the people emotionally, the site is thus divided into 3 zones which serves to Engage, Empower and Enrich users of the space.
